S. Yin Ho is Chief Strategy Officer to Aetion and a veteran in health information technology and data analytics. She was most recently the Founder and former CEO of Context Matters Inc., a health economics integrated data and technology company based in New York City. Context Matters was acquired in late 2017 by Decision Resources Group — a global life sciences data company headquartered in Boston.
Trained as an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Ho stepped away from medicine in 1998 to pursue opportunities in the emerging eHealth industry. Her most recent enterprise was the founding, building, and eventual sale of Context Matters Inc. Context Matters' flagship product is the Market Access PlatformTM-- a cloud based data analytics subscription platform for global biopharmaceutical companies' health economics and market access teams. The product provided optimization of clinical trial endpoints grounded in what matters most to global reimbursement and regulatory authorities. The data analytics product structured and integrated global health technology assessments, regulatory decisions, and clinical trial outcomes to provide an end-to-end view of the outcomes and models most relevant to regulatory and global reimbursement decisions.
Prior to founding Context Matters, Dr. Ho was vice president of corporate strategy at Medidata Solutions (MDSO) — a global clinical trial software company — and was part of the executive team that took the company public in mid-2009. She has also held senior positions at Pfizer (PFE) and led many cutting-edge initiatives and investments in eHealth including ePrescribing infrastructure and small physician EHR implementation. Yin has also served as director of business development at Emergingmed.com, an e-clinical trial company focused on cancer patient recruitment and advocacy, and was a member of the advisory board of RapidTrials, Inc.
Dr. Ho is committed to making NYC a recognized capital of healthcare innovation. In 2009, she co-founded and currently serves on the board of NYC Health Business Leaders. She also serves on the Founding Board for the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Public Health as well as a number of other boards and advisory boards including PS3til6 (afterschool program), Pocket Lobby (a non-profit Federal policy information application), and eLab (as part of the NYC Economic Development Corporation).
Yin received a BA from Brown University, an MD from Yale University School of Medicine, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
